Although it seems that I am changing the topic of a blog dedicated to obituaries (what a short week of shit), this man had to spend a few words. His figure may be difficult to understand for which there is a fan of metal, but within the world of hard rock we're talking about a legend, probably the largest that has ever stepped on a stage.
would be difficult to list the capital contributions of this man in the history of rock: Rainbow, Black Sabbath (which came to replace Ozzy, a character who is not even the height Dio's shoes, or musically, or as a human), DIO, Heaven and Hell, etc. Tireless professional at 67 still maintaining a level of first as a vocalist and composer, and it has more merit, to reach its legendary status without falling none of the vices and excesses typical of stars of music: simple, approachable, humanitarian and always kind to his legion of fans.
I had the great privilege and honor to enjoy their performance at Wacken last year, the last tour in which he participated, with "Heaven and Hell (Black Sabbath II ) really should have seen it twice, but the suspension of its performance in the Metalway (which now seems more bitch yet) was that only his genius could enjoy a once in a lifetime. I leave you with a moment of that concert from Wacken now reassess just in my memory as a unique moment.
The truth is that I tried to give a realistic picture as possible of the life of Ronnie James, lights and shadows and all that, but I found nothing remotely negative criticism. So just say goodbye to a great musician and foremost a great person who was making war to end, and now can be removed to the satisfaction of having done all his life the best job possible. I would go with a couple of videos of the action in the last wacken I had the pleasure of witnessing (Magic), another of the film "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey" which comes out explaining the origin of the iconic "horns", and another. Farewell teacher.
