last Friday, March 25, students of 4th ESO music bilingual this center we went to visit the Craft Centre and Design Lugo conducted an interview with one of the leading luthiers responsible for rebuilding the instruments of the Gate of Glory of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
But not everything was as easy as it seems: first we had to inform through various websites, provided by our teacher. Then we had to think and poñernos agreement between all the questions that we would accomplish. To finish the job before the interview we try the phone and e-mail the above luthier, Luciano Perez, to contact him. Finally we decided to call it and specifically the interview date.
Once there we were all a little nervous, but once we started the interview, relaxámonos quickly. In the interview explicounos entire process to accomplish the reconstruction of the instruments. Falounos of all the people who helped him carry out this work, from his father and grandfather (co-founder of the workshop of musical instruments). Falounos also of all the materials used, the temperature that should keep the instruments for which no deteriorate, etc..

Also faláronnos of how the instruments are emerging in other countries, and they do everything by hand because it felt like it did before. The workshop was also another man making an instrument and craft explicounos a man and three were there doing a kind of stage.
When finished the visit, Luciano agasallounos a book on string instruments in the studio rebuilt from the representations in stone in the Portico of Glory and the Palace of Gelmírez. Donar decided this book to the library of the institute.

The music students have read the Haiku they had prepared over the preceding days. These haiku, with its simplicity, open a window through which to look for a peaceful world, a society without violence, a few desires for a better future for themselves.
